Commit to a First, first.
I offer one-on-one academic development sessions for prospective and current English Literature university students who want to better understand their own writing and learn how to refine their approach.
These sessions are built around the individual’s work and marker feedback. What does ‘improve your structure’ or ‘engage more critically’ actually mean? Without understanding which direction these comments point, it can be difficult to know what to change.
Through analysing previous essays, examining comments from markers, identifying recurring strengths and weaknesses and developing a practical strategic plan, we can identify the habits that are helping one’s work succeed, and the patterns that are limiting one’s results. Learn More
